Elmbridge is a local local government district with borough status in Surrey in the south of England with a population of around 140,000. Its notable towns are Cobham, Walton-on-Thames, Weybridge and Molesey, with its local borough council being based in Esher. Two former districts were combined to make the modern borough in 1974, namely Esher Urban District and Walton and Weybridge Urban District.
